Holy Spirit Clothing isn't a charity, and we don't pretend that buying a shirt changes the world.

But sometimes you encounter stories that stay with you. 

The Chingari Rehabilitation Centre in Bhopal, India, was one of those stories for me. I learned about Chingari through a documentary around the same time we were getting ready to start Holy Spirit Clothing, and their work stayed with me.

 

Chingari provides free rehabilitation and support to children and young adults from families affected by the Bhopal disaster and ongoing environmental contamination. Their work includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, special education, meals, transportation, and other support for children living with disabilities.

 

So, each November, around my birthday, a donation is made to support their work.
